When there were some hot interstellar bitches to mack on, Harlock played it classy and left those bitches trailing on his cape. The Memorial Sound Collection contains music from the series. Really downbeat folkish kind of music, with a few numbers featuring vocals only provided by some space faring Japanese crooner. You know you're manly when you have your own theme song.

There's little else i have to say about this album other than "wow." An amazing album from start to finish. Maybe you've listened to Nokturnal Mortum before, maybe you didn't like them, or maybe you just didn't listen to them because of their National Socialist connections. Disregard those things and give this album a shot. Every song just slaps you with its epicness, a word I really hate using, but the sweeping guitars backed by the screaming of violins and flutes and some beautiful vocal really knocks you on your ass, especially when the record does a U-Turn and hits you with some Pink Floyd style blues rifts. This monster from the Nordlands sounds like the beautiful bastard child of Jethro Tull and Bathory.

To welcome myself back after a somewhat brief absence, why not continue on the saga of Current 93? All The Pretty Horses is another album that distinctly stands out within the Current 93 discography. Many regard it as the group's best output. Once again you get David Tibet's excellent songwriting played over bleak and sometimes frightening melodies

You ever get depressed sometimes to the point where you can't even do things you like? That's how it's been with music for the past few weeks. I've downloaded a lot of stuff but haven't even gotten started on any of it, I can barely even stand to listen to a full album of a band I love. Winter's here, it's really cold outside and the sky is always gray. For some reason, I just prefer silence lately.
